First exhibition on the Triumphant Christ of Albiano. A gilded bronze masterpiece from 1050-1100
D.O.C is an elegant, rustic and traditional Italian restaurant. These elements are embodied by the choice of a classical Roman font. The addition of the silverware and the glass of wine, all give the accent of a tavern. The result is a stunning and elegant logo with a sophisticated braiding within the name. This gives a clear indication of what your dining experience will be at D.O.C. Wine Bar.
Several fixed elements such as a hand written font and a motif to illustrate the restaurant’s natural-organic food and cooking philosophy as well as a design evoking the feeling of being in the country, were requested by the client. All components were contained within a refined oval. The hand written font recalls the writing of daily menu specials on a chalk board. The grain stalk underlining it, highlights the genuine and natural ingredients in the menu.
Owner Mikele Luliano's recognition for the high quality of his pizza and food is, as in the autographs of acclaimed authors, artists, etc. the final stamp to his exquisite culinary creations.
The HeathClass logo design presentation feature three logos and three different design styles for three different target market. Each logo design is introduced with its own Inspiration Board that shows the creative process and the message within the design. All the Inspiration Board have a unique and original way to showcase the inspiration images through the logo itself like looking through a keyhole.
The Concept 1 logo has a classic style. In this case I worked on the two words on the company's name: Health and Class. The goal is to translate the company's name and philosophy into two visually easy to read and understand symbols. On the left of the board there are series of electrocardiograms which are the sign of the heartbeat and consequentially the sign of Health. On the right side of the board there are logos of several Ivy League schools. These images were the starting point for my first HealthClass concept logo design which inspired the monogram with a classic font with a capital H crossed by a stylized dynamic electrocardiogram. With an elegant dark grey balanced by a vivid green the result it's a powerful, simple and yet sophisticated logo.
The Concept 2 logo wants to focus and highlight the educational mission of HealthClass through tutorial/videos/documentaries on health topics. On the left of the board there are a collection of images with the universally used "play" icon which represent how HealthClass works. On the right side, clockwise from the top, there is an image of a bee on a beehive. The image inspired the hexagon shape of the logo and also the meaningful mission of HeathClass of spreading knowledge as bees pollinate flowers. With the following image I also wanted the logo to have the feeling for a scientific background recalling a (hexagon) molecular structures. The next inspirational image is from the book "Big O meets the Missing Piece" from the celebrated author and illustrator Shel Silverstein. A loving allegory to nurturing relationship (between HealthClass and their costumers) where Big O finds (its) Missing Piece (the triangle shape) that complete it. The successive image it's from the word famous 80's video game Pac-Man that is on its way to eagerly collect dots and fruits (as HeathClass costumers will be eager to learn more about Heath). Last image another molecular (hexagon) structure. So all these images merge into a bold and energetic logo where the "play" icon fills the missing knowledge with HealthClass documentaries as the Big O and the Missing Piece. Spreading Health and Well Being education as a bee pollinate. The palette use organic colors that recalls healthy/natural mindfulness for an inclusive and positive design.
This last inspiration board shows some pictures of famous doctor's movies and TV series. Movies are the representation of daily life, and in movies Health it has been represented by doctors and doctors have been represented in the collective imagination by the stethoscope. On the right side the other half of the board shows how often the play icon it has been widely incorporated in logo designs. The logo it has a quick, easy, direct way to communicate what HealthClass is all about: video/tutorials/documentaries about Health. The bright blue goes with the cheerful stethoscope that recalls a smiley face/emoji making the lightest and the most "fun" of the three logos.
The Knights Realty Group was a rebranding. The goal was to transform the logo into a classy and stylish corporate logo. The whole Knight reference is minimize to a simple and yet effective spear. Memorable and playful slogan was added
Viajando o Mundo (Traveling the World) was a Brazilian travel service company born out of the expected monumental tourist visits during the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. The objective was a fun and playful design with bright summery colors that would allow tourists to easily identify the brand’s mission. A crisp passport stamp spotlights the adventures that await!
This project had some interesting complicated compositions challenges to overcome. The client requested a wine glass, a star nebula and the great bear constellation.
